As a matter of fact, buying a unit in a compound rather than separately has many advantages, including the extra security provided within its borders, and the quality life standard shared within the its community, alongside with the attractive landscape design and the greener healthier environment that combine to make a full desirable package.
A highly favorable place for Cairo residents to locate to, compounds in New Cairo are highly demanded, since they are the closest in location to the main city of Cairo, and thus the most attractive to its inhabitants.
However compounds in new Cairo have their cons and pros, from my point of view as a Cairo resident, I find it appealing because of its location near my work in the city, many malls, service areas and universities are usually located nearby and the fact that it is a close to moderately close drive to the city center, so I do not have to relocate. But from other perspective new Cairo’s infrastructure seem to let its residents down, every time a heavy rain fall, due to the fact that a rain drainage system is missing in the city, houses usually floods the houses.
So after all residential compounds in new Cairo can be a valuable opportunity to relocate to, though has its drawbacks.
6 of October city is a good alternative with gated security and fancy designs, if you are initially a Giza governorate resident, or work there, it is not far drive of Giza, however will be a living hell if you are a Far east Cairo relocator, or if your work is still located there, it is going to be a day to day long drive through heavy traffic.
New capital compounds seem to be a good bargain for east Cairo residents who are willing to relocate but hate New Cairo’s infrastructure, new capital is a street away from New Cairo, though Is designed to have a good infrastructure, and planned to have a beautiful design.
It is also a great opportunity for people who want to live in the center of the new capital city of Egypt, Currently new capital compounds are still is in an early construction phase, so the downside is that you will have to wait for a while, but you will have to act fast, cause reservation has already started.
Other residential Compounds may be located in Other cities, like Shorouk City which have great design, Universities like BUE, and French University but still a long drive from Cairo
